A Journey through Generative AI
Create. Explore. Innovate. Welcome to the World of Generative AI.
Generative AI is transforming how we create, communicate, and solve problems. From generating realistic images and writing essays to composing music and even coding, AI models are pushing the boundaries of what machines can do.
The AI Revolution Is Moving Faster Than Ever
A few years ago, AI-generated art was still a niche experiment. Today, tools AI can create photorealistic images in seconds.
The pace of change is staggering
New models, products, and breakthroughs are announced almost weekly. What was cutting-edge last month might be outdated today. And while that’s exciting, it’s also overwhelming:
How do you even keep up?
Where do you start learning?
Is it too late to jump in?
The answer? No, it’s not too late—in fact, now is the best time.
Why I Decided to Dive into Generative AI
I am driven by curiosity. I love to combine creativity with analytic thinking.
So I started experimenting. I wanted independence—no subscriptions, no usage limits, just raw generative AI power running directly on my machine. The idea was tempting: full control, privacy, and the ability to customize models exactly how I wanted.
But reality had other plans.
1. The Hardware Trap
Most generative AI models demand serious computing power.
My CPU choked on even small models and took hours to create a single image.
Without a high-end GPU, nothing shatters the dream of AI-powered creativity faster than your GPU bursting into digital flames with a smug 'CUDA out of memory' error—leaving you staring at a frozen screen, Ctrl+Alt+Delete in hand, questioning your life choices.
My laptop fans screamed like jet engines before crashing.
Lesson: Consumer-grade PCs often lack the muscle for smooth AI generation.
2. Installation Nightmares, Updates break Things
Every tool came with its own labyrinth of dependencies and too often little explanation in their documentation:
Python version conflicts
Missing or conflicting CUDA drivers
Obscure Linux library errors
AI frameworks (like TensorFlow, PyTorch) evolve fast—code that worked last month might fail today.
Lesson: I wasn’t learning AI—I was learning system administration.
3. The Storage and Download Black Hole
Modern AI models are enormous:
A decent language model? 4-20GB
High-quality image generator? 15GB+
Video generation tools? Forget about it
Lesson: Don’t start to wipe out personal files, you will anyway run out of storage space. Download a new model? Wait until tomorrow to finish and get ready to view Netflix only in potato quality, interrupted by the dreaded buffering wheels.
Your Turn: Let’s Explore AI Together
Generative AI isn’t just a trend. It’s a fundamental shift in how we create, work, and solve problems.
I am creating this blog to document my learning journey and make it easier for you to start a similar journey, too.
You don’t need to be an expert to use AI. The tools are getting easier every day. My blog will be accompanied by fully configured installations, hosted in the cloud, to make it as simple as possible to try it out hands-on.
The best way to learn is by doing. Reading about AI is useful, but using it teaches you far more.
The sooner you start, the further ahead you’ll be. AI is reshaping industries—those who understand it will have an edge.
Explore. Learn. What exactly is generative AI? How does it work? And most importantly—how can you try it out yourself with a minimal setup procedure?

Great to be on the same journey. Let’s have some fun: How about creating a cat drawing the Mona Lisa (which has a cat face)
Sorry. I am still new here
